Hi all, and when I mean all, I mean my teacher Mr. Lavender and possible some of my classmates. I am doing this blog because I am building a catapult for class which is due on Wednesday, April 25th, 2012. To give you a sense of what I must do for this project, I must build a catapult that can project a ball of clay into a 5 gallon paint bucket located at a horizontal distance of 3 to 5 meters from the launch site. The length, width, and height of the catapult must not exceed 50 cm and the wight must not exceed 10 kg.
At the launch, There are three attempts to get the ball of clay into the bucket. If you shoot the clay into the paint bucket on the first attempt, you get 40 points, second is 35, and the third is 30. If the ball does not land in the bucket, fewer points will be awarded.
There is also a written analysis, or an essay which is 40 points.
I hope this blog helps me do well on this project. God knows I could use the (cough cough) extra credit (cough cough) :D
